This year has barely started, and it already feels like a whirlwind. I’ve sent my CV to 20 multimedia job openings in Faro, and so far, all I’ve received are rejections or, worse, no responses at all. It’s been tough, and honestly, it’s starting to feel like a challenge just to get my foot in the door. I’m trying to stay positive, but it’s hard not to feel stuck sometimes.
Oh, and here’s a small frustration to round out the update—my first photo upload on Shutterstock got rejected for “low quality standards.” It’s a high-res image, so what do they meeean?! Ugh. Back to the drawing board, I guess.
On a more creative note, I’ve been toying with the idea of writing a book. The concept is based on events from my personal life—something tragic and dramatic, with a touch of romance. But I want it to be more than just a typical story. I’m aiming for a deeper psychological exploration that will resonate with young adults. The challenge? Blending fiction with enough intrigue to keep readers hooked. Writing this has been more difficult than I imagined, but I’m determined to figure it out.
On the brighter side, my boyfriend and I just started watching Breaking Bad together, and we’re on episode six. He also suggested we watch all the Marvel movies in chronological order, which I’m so excited about! We’ve already checked off Captain America and Captain Marvel. Next up is Iron Man, and I really hope he enjoys it as much as I dis.
That’s where I’m at right now—trying, creating, and hoping something clicks. Let’s see what the rest of January brings!
